Position Overview:
A Room Attendant ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and surrounding spaces are clean, comfortable, and inviting, contributing to a pleasant guest experience. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, has an eye for detail, and delivers excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Room Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas following hotel standards.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels.
- Restock amenities such as soap, shampoo, and beverages.
- Dust and polish furniture, and vacuum or mop floors.
- Inspection and Reporting:
- Check rooms for damages, missing items, or maintenance needs and report them to the supervisor.
- Ensure that all appliances, fixtures, and furniture are in working order.
- Customer Interaction:
- Respond courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adherence to Health and Safety:
- Follow established cleaning procedures to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly and in compliance with regulations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Assist colleagues in maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces, such as hallways, lounges, and laundry rooms.
- Cooperate with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks like lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
